Beef With Christianity

My beef with Christianity, and other religious sectors, is that there does seem to be a moving target.  I can remember when drinking alcohol was at one time a sin — and now it seems that the consumption of alcohol has found a home in places where before it had been banned.  I remember a day being worried and concerned  to share with some that Alex and I lived together as we were not married.  What things 10, 20 or 30 or even 50 years from now will have gone from no to yes?  Human sexuality? Proven science? A natural green plant? A human that has full dominion over their own body?  What if we eventually can choose the color of our own baby? What would happen then?  Why not make the inevitable, intelligent, and loving shift now — practice only be loving and kind to our neighbors.  Period.

I just wonder what the world would be like if we could really just love each other unconditionally and completely without judgement or bias.  You be you.  Divisions are created when our blinders give us tunnel vision.  Perhaps you may know better.  Most likely however, we all understand and know less about our neighbor than we think we do.  In the least, acknowledge that our perceived notions may be flawed and even perhaps incorrect.  You may feel differently over time.  Make room for adjustments in core rigid beliefs.  Perhaps with the exception of harmful acts towards other human beings, we should not worry so much about what other people are doing or feeling that is actually really none of our business.

Words to live by: be calm, happy, peaceful, grateful, joyful, and loving.  (I got this from a set of bowls.)

Love to you all.
